Barbara Honthumb is the Senior Consultant, Finance and Planning of Tufts Health Care Institute (THCI).  Ms Honthumb oversees financial operations and analysis, manages consulting contracts and agreements for THCI/OCE and supports strategic and business planning.

Ms Honthumb has more than 20 years experience in health care and not for profit management, planning, business development and finance. For the past eight years she was at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, most recently as the Administrative Director, Center for Surgery and Public Health.  Prior to that she was the Director, Managed Care and Business Development and Service Line Director, Orthopedics at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio.   Her previous experience includes: Business Consultant with Financial Development Associates; and, Executive Director of the Women's Entrepreneurial Growth Organization both in Akron. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Marlboro College and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Akron.
