Kathleen Lowney is the Director for Administration and Operations for THCI/OCE. She is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations of the enterprise; human resource functions; programmatic management; and assuring successful reaccreditation (for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists) of the OCE. As a member of the senior leadership team, Kathleen's responsibilities include the effective implementation of the THCI/OCE strategic and business plan, and for advancing the mission of the THCI/OCE.
Ms. Lowney brings more than 15 years of experience in leading and managing health care and professional education and training programs in a range of higher education, non-profit, private and government settings. Most recently she managed the complex and successful process for the reaccreditation of Tufts University School of Medicine. Previously she has held a variety of management and research positions at Harvard University, Tufts-New England Medical Center, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health and Hygiene. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Colby College, and a Masters in Health Sciences in Health Policy and Management from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health.
