Peter Rudd, MD is Professor of Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He serves as Chief in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Director of On-site Primary Care Services.
Dr. Rudd was born and raised in New York City, attended Amherst college and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and completed his housestaff training at Stanford. After a fellowship in health care planning at McGill University, he served on the faculty at the University of Chicago before returning to Stanford. He currently performs a variety of clinical, didactic, research, and administrative functions in the Department of Medicine. These include roles as director of Department of Medicine Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement, member of the UCSF Stanford Health Care Physician Organization Board, and co-chair of the Physician Compliance Committee.
Dr. Rudd’s past research and related publications have focused on non-traditional problems in anti-hypertensive management, improved measures of medication compliance, and developing a managed care curriculum for Stanford housestaff. |
