THCI was one of eight finalists in the eHealth Developers' National Summit Award for Application Excellence for Best Online CME Course. The purpose of the Award for Application Excellence is to recognize and promote high quality eHealth application development, with a focus this year on online Continuing Medical Education applications. THCI's entry was the online course, Definitions and Measurement of Quality, authored by David B. Nash, MD, MBA, Director of the Office of Health Policy and Clinical Outcomes, Thomas Jefferson University, and Associate Dean for Health Policy at Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA. This course, one of THCI's twelve online courses, identifies and defines the elements of quality in health care and reviews strategies to improve quality in practice. A panel of judges reviewed each of this year's 48 entries based on a set of criteria related to application quality. The winner of the award will be announced at the eHealth Summit on November 7, 2002, in Tempe, AZ. Click here for more information.
