Program Goal:
Learn efficient imaging strategies for common medical conditions
in the rapidly changing environment of imaging technology.
Educational Objectives:
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able
to:
- Learn cost effective, evidence based imaging algorithms for common medical problems in an open
forum moderated by a combined team of imaging specialists and experts in clinical medicine.
- Understand the technical advantages and limitations of new imaging modalities such as PET scanning, ultrafast helical CT, and advanced MRI techniques
in the evaluation of medical complaints.
- Identify cost trends in health care and the role imaging now represents and examine expanded opportunities for prevention through evidence-based
screening and early disease detection.
- Learn about the changing and sometimes controversial trends in medical imaging through case presentations.
