This activity is jointly sponsored by the Beam Institute, Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center and Tufts Health Care Institute. The Beam Institute is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.

Physician-Category 1 Credit
The Beam Institute designates this educational activity for a maximum of 7.5 category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.

Of the 7.5 category 1 credits, 3 hours of instruction are designated for risk management credit.

Physician assistants and Nurse Practitioners receive a CME Certificate.

Nursing Credit

Nursing continuing education contact hours provided by the Boston College School of Nursing Continuing Education Program, Chestnut Hill, MA. This continuing education activity carries 9.0 contact hours. Participants must attend the entire educational activity for contact hours. Certificates will be mailed after completion of the program.
